Hypochlorous acid (HOCL) is considered the most efficacious chlorine based disinfectant at one’s disposal. It effectively reacts with microbial cell wall and easily perforates it owing to its zero charge and having relatively lower molecular weight. It oxidizes the internal microbial cellular organic matter, destroying them completely and gets diffused rapidly compared to hypochlorite ions which are negatively charged and are unable to penetrate the cell walls.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS :
• Excellent efficacy over a wide range of bacteria and virus
• Rapid oxidizing agent
• Safe to use compared to other chlorine species disinfectant
Calcium hypochlorite is an inorganic compound with formula Ca(ClO)2. It is a white solid, although commercial samples appear yellow. It strongly smells of chlorine, owing to its slow decomposition in moist air. It is preferably used in soft to medium-hard water. ACURO’s Calcium Hypochlorite in powder form contains more amount of available chlorine compared to …
